What is a digital marketing consultant?
Someone who plans and runs your digital marketing for you, like having an in-house digital marketer without putting one on the payroll. Instead of juggling SEO, ads and email yourself or piecing together different freelancers, you get one person who owns the whole lot and the results it brings in.
What does a digital marketing consultant do?
Plans the strategy, then does the hands-on work to make it happen. For me that's SEO, Google and Meta ads, email, tracking and reporting, all planned around your goals and run month to month. I'm across what's working, what's not, and where your next customers are coming from, so you don't have to be.
What's the difference between a consultant and an agency?
An agency gives you a team, which works well for some businesses. With me you get one experienced person who both plans your digital marketing and does the hands-on work, so you always deal with the person who actually knows your account, with nothing lost between people.
Do I need a consultant, or can I do my own digital marketing?
You can absolutely do your own digital marketing, plenty of owners do for a while. It usually makes sense to bring someone in when you're too stretched to give it the time, when it's not moving the way you want, or when you'd rather spend your hours running the business than learning ad platforms. If you're not sure, tell me where you're at and I'll give you an honest take.
Do you run everything, or just one channel?
Either way. Plenty of clients hand me the whole lot and I run it as one. Others just want their SEO sorted or the ads taken over. We pick the mix that fits your business, not a bit of everything for the sake of it.
Do I have to have a website built by you?
No. If your site's in good shape I'm happy to run the marketing on top of it. If it needs work, I'll tell you straight, since marketing only pays off when the site it points to does its job.
How quickly will I see results?
Depends on the channel. Paid ads can bring traffic in within days, SEO is the longer game that builds over months. I'll be straight with you about what to expect and when, no overnight promises.
Am I locked into a contract?
No long lock-in. It's a monthly arrangement you can stop with notice. I'd rather keep you because the work's paying off than because a contract traps you.
How is it priced?
It starts at $3,000 a month plus GST and scales from there based on scope, your type of business and ad spend. The retainer covers the work across every channel, and the ad budget you pay the platforms directly on top. Month to month, with no lock-in.
